Can I assess and interview the assistant before I hire them?

Last updated 4 days ago

Yes, absolutely. Interviewing your potential assistant is part of the hiring process.

Once we’ve found a candidate to be your executive assistant, you’ll be able to evaluate them in two stages:

Email

  • The candidate’s resume
  • Information about them relevant to any specific requirements you listed
  • Relevant work samples
  • A brief summary of why we’re recommending them

Call

Next, you’ll have the opportunity to interview the candidate through a scheduled video call. A member of our team will be on the call to help facilitate it and answer any questions.

After the call, let us know whether you’d like to proceed with the candidate or not.

Accepting a Candidate

If you approve of the candidate, we’ll take the necessary steps to get them started. Before the assistant begins working, Magic will confirm the following with you:

  • The assistant’s start date
  • The schedule for their onboarding call
  • The assistant’s hourly rate

Rejecting a Candidate

If you decide the candidate is not right for you, let us know at any time. Magic will use your feedback to find a new candidate.
