Magic Workspace has a feature called “Automatic Clock-out“. The feature aims to align work sessions with the actual schedules of our assistants, accommodating shifts of varying lengths. This marks a change from the old system that ended sessions after a fixed 9 hours. Here’s how it works:
- Sessions automatically end 1 hour after clock-in unless a schedule is found.
- If a scheduled shift is detected within an hour after clock-in, the session extends to cover the shift plus a 1-hour grace period before being clocked out.
- Continuous sessions without re-clocking are possible when back-to-back schedules are less than an hour apart.
- Otherwise, the assistant would need to clock in again.
Should automatic clock-outs occur, please verify:
- If you already set your schedule for the day.
- You are clocked in during or up to 1 hour before your scheduled shift.
- You clocked in under the correct team/client ID associated with that schedule.
You can also watch this loom video tutorial on how to add a schedule for each day of the week.
