Who covers the work when your assistant is away
Assistants take holidays, get sick, and go on leave. What happens to the work during those days is worth checking before you sign with either service.
Magic’s full-time Executive Assistant plan includes Magic 24/7, a shared pool of assistants who pick up tasks when your dedicated assistant is unavailable. You send the request and someone handles it, at 2 a.m. or on a holiday.

AI tools
Every Magic assistant gets access to leading LLMs and AI tools, plus training on how to use them before they start working with you. Magic pays for the tools, and coaches each assistant one on one every week after that.
Wing describes its assistants as AI-trained. Their site doesn’t name the tools or describe the training, so you’d need to ask on the call.
Vetting and training
Magic accepts the top 0.5% of applicants, and a person makes the final call after live interviews with each candidate. Wing also describes a vetting and training process. These claims use different candidate pools and measures, so they do not establish a relative acceptance rate.
Every Magic assistant goes through training and assessments on AI tools before their first task for you. Wing says it handles matching, vetting, and training before an assistant touches your work, without detailing the curriculum.
Contracts and cancellation
Magic has no long-term contract; its standard billing period is four weeks, with weekly billing also available. Wing advertises monthly plans. Wing says you can cancel anytime and doesn’t state whether a notice period applies. Magic lets you cancel at any time.
