Soliciting donations, selling goods or services, or borrowing money within the workplace is strictly prohibited.
Guidelines
- Prohibition on Soliciting:
- Soliciting donations, goods, services, or any form of financial aid within the workplace, regardless of the cause or event is not allowed.
- This includes, but is not limited to, personal causes (medical expenses, tuition, etc.), external charities, or selling goods (food, merchandise, etc.).
- Prohibition on Borrowing Money:
- Borrowing or lending money between employees and assistants within Magic is prohibited.
- This includes cash loans, payment for services rendered between colleagues, or lending personal items with the expectation of repayment or compensation.
- Magic will not mediate or be responsible for any personal financial transactions.
- Permissible Exceptions:
- Magic/ Company-approved fundraising activities (e.g., official charity events, office-wide celebrations) are exempt from this policy, provided they are organized or endorsed by the company and adhere to the approved guidelines. For approval, you can reach out to your Account Lead.
- If a financial emergency arises, you should reach out to your assigned Account Lead to seek advice or inquire about any applicable company welfare programs.
- Reporting Violations:
- If you feel pressured to participate in solicitations or lend money, please report the incident to your respective Account Leads and send an email to [email protected], providing as much detail as possible.
- Magic will investigate all complaints confidentially.
