Looking for help with MagicGPT’s technical issues? Choose from the list of items below to help guide you through the common technical know-hows.
A. Does MagicGPT save preferences and context from previous chat history?
Yes. MagicGPT may intentionally save specific, stable information (such as recurring preferences or instructions) to improve future assistance. However, assistants should still restate important context when starting a new task or conversation to ensure accuracy.
B. Does MagicGPT have the ability to save memories, like ChatGPT’s memory function?
MagicGPT uses limited and intentional memory to improve helpfulness over time. It does not continuously record conversations and does not store sensitive personal or financial information. Only select information—such as preferences or recurring instructions—may be saved.
C. Can it pick up from where we left off (e.g., from last Friday to Monday)?
MagicGPT can maintain context as long as you continue using the same chat thread. If you start a new chat or thread, previous context will not carry over, and you’ll need to re-provide any necessary information.
D. Does MagicGPT store screenshots?
Screenshots are stored temporarily during the session to help provide context for responses. They are not permanently saved or accessible after the session ends, except when needed for audit or troubleshooting purposes by authorized Magic staff.
E. Who has access to usage history?
Usage history (such as chat logs and screenshots) is accessible only to authorized Magic staff—including product, engineering, and support teams—for troubleshooting, compliance, and quality assurance. Assistants and clients do not have access to each other’s chat histories unless explicitly shared.
